The ENPF urged Kazakhstanis not to trust intermediaries advertising pension savings.

Pension savings can be utilized for improving housing conditions and/or medical treatment under legally established conditions by:

  • depositors who have savings exceeding the threshold of minimum sufficiency (above the PMD amount);
  • retirees whose pension is at least 40% of their lost income (previously earned salary) — they can use up to 50% of the savings remaining in their account;
  • retirees with years of service (up to 100% of savings);
  • depositors who have entered into a pension annuity contract (up to 100% of savings).

— The targeted use of pension savings for housing or treatment is only possible through authorized operators — second-tier banks. Consequently, intermediary services are not required. At the same time, the ENPF does not charge any fees. By agreeing to participate in dubious schemes, you not only risk losing your money but also jeopardize the security of your personal data, which may later be used for other fraudulent activities, — the statement reads.

The ENPF strongly advises its depositors and beneficiaries to disregard such offers, obtain information from official sources, and operate exclusively within the legal framework.
