In Peru, the world's first baby conceived using a unique technology has been born.

A baby was born at the Santa Isabel clinic in Lima, the capital of Peru.

"Fertilo utilizes laboratory-created young supporting ovarian cells to replicate the natural process of egg maturation. This approach reduces the need for 80% of the hormonal injections typically required in standard IVF procedures. As a result, the duration of all procedures is shortened to three days," explain the researchers.
The company noted that this success marks the first demonstration of a seamless process using pluripotent stem cells. This type of cell can transform into virtually any tissue in the body, except for extra-embryonic organs – the placenta and the yolk sac.

It is claimed that maturing eggs outside the body and reducing hormonal stimulation makes the experience easier for women utilizing assisted reproductive technologies.
