According to the press service of the department, police regularly conduct raid activities aimed at preventing road traffic accidents and curbing violations of traffic rules.
In Pavlodar, at the intersection of Tolstoy and Baizakov streets, police stopped an Audi vehicle.
"Incoherent conversation, erratic movements, and dilated pupils – all indicated that the driver of the foreign car was in an inadequate state" , the Pavlodar region traffic police noted.
Following a medical examination, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of narcotics.
"During the check, it was found that the driver got behind the wheel without having a valid license. By court order, he was deprived of the right to drive for a period of 7 years in January 2023," , the department clarified.
The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The materials were sent to court.
It is noted that since the beginning of this year, Pavlodar police have recorded 96 instances where intoxicated drivers operated vehicles despite already being deprived of their licenses.
"Investigations have been conducted in each case, and appropriate measures have been taken in accordance with current legislation" , the regional traffic police emphasized.
Earlier in Pavlodar, a drunk man behind the wheel lost control of his vehicle, collided with two parked cars, and then crashed into a tree. The offender's vehicle was taken to a special impound lot.
Additionally, a video was recorded in Pavlodar showing a chase of a drunk driver who lost control and crashed into a tree, then attempted to flee. The man was deprived of his right to drive for seven years and subjected to administrative arrest for 15 days.
