The employees of the DGD in the Pavlodar region, in collaboration with the border service of the KNB, have identified the transportation of dual-use goods - an AN-2T aircraft.
The head of the export control department of the DGD, Maksut Kantarbaev, shared the details.
"During the inspection of the vehicle brand 'MAZ 54323' at the automobile checkpoint 'Amangeldy' (border with the Omsk region of the Russian Federation), it was established that an AN-2T aircraft was being transported, weighing 3,600 kg, with an estimated value of 1,800,000 Russian rubles. The aircraft was purchased by citizen M at an auction for personal use. At the time of crossing the border, citizen M lacked a conclusion on the identification of specific goods," he explained.
Materials regarding the man transporting the aircraft without the necessary permits for committing an administrative offense, as stipulated by part 1 of article 463 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, were sent to court.
By the ruling of the Irtysh District Court of the Pavlodar region, the citizen was found guilty and a fine of over 55,000 tenge was imposed.
According to the provisions of the law "On the Control of Specific Goods", dual-use goods are products (including software and technologies) listed in the control list of specific goods that are used for civilian purposes but can be applied for the creation of weapons of mass destruction and means of their delivery, armaments, and military equipment.
