Reports from Almaty indicate that there has been a shooting, resulting in one person being injured.

"An investigation has been initiated by the police department of the Nauryzbay district regarding this incident."

"A series of operational and investigative measures are being conducted to solve this crime," - reported in response to a request from NUR.KZ by the press service of the Almaty Police Department.

No further information has been disclosed by the agency.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that three men were injured as a result of gunfire from a hunting rifle near the Ili River in the Almaty region. The suspect in the attempted murder has been apprehended.
