According to the official court account on Facebook, an administrative case regarding contempt of court (part 1 of article 653 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan) was heard in the Katon-Karagay District Court.
The court determined that on November 20, 2024, an individual appeared at a hearing concerning an administrative offense under part 1 of article 73 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Illegal actions in the sphere of family and domestic relations) while intoxicated.
During the court session, the man did not admit his guilt. However, the results of the medical examination confirmed that he was in a state of moderate alcohol intoxication.
The man was found guilty and sentenced to administrative arrest for three days.
The ruling has already taken legal effect.
It should be noted that under part 1 of article 653 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan, contempt of court, manifested in the failure to appear in court without valid reasons by participants in the process and other individuals summoned by a notice, announcement, or call when further consideration of the case in their absence is deemed impossible by the court, disobedience to the orders of the presiding judge during the court session, violations of established court rules, as well as other actions (or inactions) that clearly demonstrate disrespect towards the court and/or the judge, may result in a warning or a fine of 20 MRP (73,840 tenge) or administrative arrest for up to five days.
