The top-ranked tennis player from Kazakhstan (No. 6) has shared her thoughts on the upcoming United Cup tournament in Australia, featuring mixed teams, which is set to take place from December 27, 2024, to January 5, 2025, according to reports citing the press service.

The Kazakhstan team has been placed in Group C, where they will compete against Spain and Greece. Our team will include: Rybakina, Zhibek Kulambaeva, Alexander Shevchenko, Dmitry Popko, and captain Alexander Nedovesov.

"I have long wanted to participate in the United Cup. Since tennis is an individual sport, we don't often get the chance to be part of a team, and for me, the team atmosphere and mutual support always bring special emotions. Moreover, it is important for me to represent my country," Rybakina noted.

Rybakina finished the match with the world No. 1 in 38 minutes

This marks Kazakhstan's second participation in the United Cup. The national team made its debut at the tournament in 2023 when the competition first appeared on the international tennis calendar.
