The Kazakhstani tennis player, currently ranked sixth in the world, lost to the world number one from Belarus, Aryna Sabalenka, at the exhibition tournament World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi (UAE), as reported by Vesti.kz.

Sabalenka won with a score of 7:6 (7:3). During the match, Rybakina was down 0:5 but managed to level the score; however, she couldn't maintain the momentum, despite leading 3:1 in the tiebreak.

Elena made 4 aces and had 1 double fault, while Aryna recorded 2 aces and played without any double faults.

Rybakina competes for the "Falcons" team, which also includes French player Caroline Garcia, Russian Andrey Rublev, and Canadian Denis Shapovalov.

Sabalenka represents the "Hawks" team alongside Russian Mira Andreyeva, Australian Jordan Thompson, and India's Sumit Nagal.
