The organization has nominated Kazakhstan's top player Anna Danilina and her Russian partner Irina Khromacheva.
Their competitors will be the pairs Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe (Canada/New Zealand), Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend (Czech Republic/USA), Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (Italy), Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko (Ukraine/Latvia), and Hsu Yu-Hsiou with Eliz Mertens (Taiwan/Belgium).
The winners will be determined based on the voting results of tennis journalists.
It is noteworthy that Anna and Irina together won 7 titles this year under the WTA banner, including a "thousand-point" title in Wuhan, China. The Kazakh player finished the season ranked 22nd in the world doubles rankings.
